The OHSAS 18001 specification is a referential that contains requisites for Management of Safety, Hygiene and Safety at Work jointly developed by a group of international Certification Organizations, national Normalization Organizations and other involved parties. The chain of custody certification PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is a technical norm that defines a system of traceability of raw materials from the forest ensuring the tracking of the origin of wood, cork and other non-wood forest products throughout its manufacturing/transformation process. The norm promotes sustainable Forest Management, increasing environmental awareness and aims at strengthening and improving the image of forests and its resources. It is essentially designed for environmentally friendly companies and to encourage consumers to make responsible purchasing decisions. PEFC is a management and information process about the origin of forest products that enables us to issue clear and traceable statements about the certification of the material and to guarantee its origin from a well-managed and certified forest.
